Hi Martin,

Mike and I are glad you are coming. There is nothing to do to register. I have paid for the group site for 3 nights starting Thursday the 16th, so we are good there. Mike posted some pictures and directions a few pages back. If you missed that you might check them out. We have a good mix of people and trailers coming. There will be plenty of idea sharing going on. I'm sure Mike will chime in on the fishing. Sorry I can't help there, I get all my fish at the store. Also check out the food thread a couple threads down.

See ya soon and have a safe trip.

If you want my cell number for emergencies , (which may or may not work) , cell service is spotty up there PM me

Martin:

You are only allowed to fly fish if you are willing to teach others how to! Otherwise you have to sit in a comfy chair, and watch worms drown under a bobber with me and Slowcowboy.

That 10+ on that one. My dad grew up in Buffalo. We used to take that route when I was a kid. My last trip through the canyon, had a buck jump across the road from the low side heading up. Couldn't se him until he came over the guard rail about 50 ft in front of me. Stay alert through there.

Who would have thought that you can purchase your non-resident fishing license for Wyoming online! I've got mine for Thurs-Fri-Sat so I will be completely legal. Let's hope I catch something!

We will be leaving Iowa tomorrow morning. Will spend a few days in the Black Hills if we can find a camping spot-- I think the motorcycle rally, at sturgis, is going on. Will then go to Yellowstone and Grand Teton NP. We will get to the gathering site on the 16th. Everyone have a safe trip.

Jim and Diane, have a safe trip and we will see ya soon. We learned first hand back in 1986 what Sturgis is. The term "Bikers" changed for me back then. We found a site in Custer State park. Late at night the bikers would come back to camp. In the morning we were up early to see 3 guys sharing a picnic table. There was one guy sleeping on top and one guy sleeping on each bench. They had no camping gear at all. But we met so many nice people there. Have a good time and don't forget your camera!

Steve,
We're going to have go from a maybe to a NO GO as our tow car has a blown head gasket. Will be shopping for a new car, as old one has nearly 300K on it.
Wishing we could join you,
Jim & Jean.

I'll be leaving tomorrow morning (Saturday)!

I'll be posting pics when I have internet to my website. We'll see how that goes! I'll have to be selective.
