I agree with the glue tap suggestion. They always seem pretty cruel to me, but they seem to work better than anything else I have tried.

Had one once that kept getting the PB and not tripping the trap. Tied a raisin to the trigger with a piece of thread and covered it in PB. That got the little devil.

Cheeto is useless but Frito is my secret weapon. She's the one that caught a Hummingbird in mid air.

Well I put some cheese in the trap and the mouse ate it but the trap didn't spring. Where do you get a good trap? :x

The ones I use are called mini T-Rex. http://www.domyownpestcontrol.com/mini-trex-mouse-trap-p-1303.html
They have these at lowes I have never used these but they look very similar to the t-rex ones I use they should do the job.

Dear Bruce,

I had a whole family (5) and finally got rid of them with Ace Hardware traps and cheese. Make sure you check your electrical wiring because they may be eating through it if it is exposed to them. They really destroyed my wiring.

This summer I have caught 8 mice in my house using "Redneck Mouse trap". 5 gallon pail, long edge of coat hanger, tin can with a strip of peanut butter, and a ramp. Fill bucket about 1/4 full with water. Easiest to explain by checking Youtube for redneck mouse traps.

No squished mice to clean up, just floating ones.

Need a few more neighborhood cats! One neighbor is having mice problems, so I am not alone.

Hah, that's what I just put in the trailer. We'll see what I get. Monday the cat goes in there if nothing happens over the weekend.

Realizing, of course, that catching it is only half the task.

After that, you need to go through everything and clean up after him. And, you still need to figure out how it got in there or you're likely to have them again.

You'll need to look for holes. Where do you park it when you're not camping. In the garage? If so, it could be getting in through the pop top.

:applause: Be sure to keep the trap set for a few days in case there are others. And if you haven't already done so, be sure to caulk and seal any openings where a mouse can get in. If the trailer is stored inside a building, put out plenty of food (D Con) for the mice!

Hey, I'm not that sloppy of a builder. I would think that if it keeps water out it would keep a mouse out. I did check for nesting and wire chewing and there isn't any.

I wasn't implying that you were sloppy. Nor was it intended as an insult. But, it obviously got in somehow.

Having raised more than my share of small rodents I can say that a mouse can fit through places you'd never imagine. It takes nothing any bigger than a whole the size of a quarter for them to squeeze through if they are motivated enough.

Given how quickly they grow, one can be a month or so old and squeeze through something as small as the slots on your fridge vent. A few weeks later it may be too big to get back out.

Hopefully, that's the only one. If it's not, though, may I make a small suggestion?

If you find more there's probably an access point that you're missing. My suggestion, as unpleasant as it may be, would be to take most of the removables out of the camper, put a couple of smoke bombs in a coffee can and close up the camper, but leave all the cabinets and such open.

One, it will let you visibly see any gaps you may not be aware of.

Two, the mouse will likely exit the same way it came in unless it isn't possible.

Shouldn't take more than a couple of hours to air it out once it's done if you can remove anything fabric covered.

I think the mouse got in the trailer when I was camped at the Walk the Wind gathering. I left the back door open a lot and that's when I found the bagel with a mouse hole in it. I'll keep an eye on things but this is the first mouse in 8 years and 2 campers.
