So where does the Beer go ... ???

On the right side of the bottom counter I have built my "beverage center". It has a jockey box, a 5 gallon keg of my home brew and a 10# canister of CO2 and all of it well insulated in foam. Aaahhh, cold beer on tap. ;)   It will also keep my wife's wine and our diet coke cold so I'm not really cheating on the name but we all know what the main purpose of the beverage center is... 8) :D

Thanks. I appreciate the compliments. I finished up the exterior electrical hookups today. I know this is kinda trashy but her are photos of the Road Foamie all lit up.

It was only dusk when I took the photos but you get the idea. I'm getting better at electrical. Still seems to take me forever though.

I think I'm going to continue the navy blue around the back too. That's a large amount of unadorned white sitting there on those back doors... I can count the number of tasks to do to get Road Foamie complete on both hands but there are a couple of big tasks in there and because nothing ever goes as planned, I don't think we're going to take it out on a shakedown trip next weekend. Maybe the weekend after.

That's nice. I like the idea. ;) ;) I'm thinking vinyl pinstriping instead of paint. Better for the untrained hand.  8)

The pin striping works well ... EASY ... Just don’t stretch it too much ... easiest way to get it straight is to lay out a strip of masking tape next to where you want it ... get that dead straight and then use that as a guide to laying the vinyl down ... ;)
For a bit more fancy , they even make vinyl /chrome trim strips ... just for a little dressy touch ... 8)

Sorry about the delay in responding, I've been on the road for work. Thank you all for the compliments. I think if you look up close like I do, you'll notice flaws but from a distance I like it too!!!!

I am going to put a stripe on it, just depends on how much else gets done. I need to plumb in propane and the sink but that should be easy. Just a matter of getting the right parts for that. Then it's on to the interior fit and finish. Mostly cabinet doors at this point. The work is fast, the paint and poly are slow to dry. If I get a chance before we head out in a couple of weeks. the stripe will go on. Red looks cool, but I'm leaning toward gold. UCLA colors...

I got the Road Foamie done this afternoon just in time to set our on our 11 day vacation. Literally done last minute. No time for a shakedown trip. We headed out, got about 10 miles down the road and a mini disaster struck.... the left wheel fell off the trailer!!!   No real damage (a testament to the strength of a foamie build) just some damage to my fender skirts. I can probably fix one of the damaged areas with some glue. The dent however will probably require a patch of epoxy and fiberglass. Anyway, the biggest problem is I'm not sure why the wheel fell off. Did I not tighten down the wheel studs tight enough? These aren't lug nuts, these are what I will call lug bolts??? I had a problem getting a lug wrench down over the head of the studs since it ran too close to the center of the hub adapter, so I tightened them with a convention open end wrench. Maybe not enough torque? Or maybe knockoffs aren't suitable for trailer use? Anyway, I've spent the rest of today and this evening trying to track down the right size wheel studs with a smaller head on them so I can properly use a lug wrench on them. In the morning, I'll have to run to 4 local auto parts stores to source out the 10 studs I need for the job, get back to the trailer, change out all the studs on the wheels on a public highway before I head out and all in a "NO PARKING ZONE"   If I don't solve the issue, we may have to wait until spring to take the maiden voyage. Winter is coming fast here in the Sierras so unless we get a real dry winter the Road Foamie will stay in the garage till then.

We've had to leave the trailer overnight in that spot and we've spoken to the Cal. Highway Patrol and they seem cool enough but I hope the trailer doesn't get towed for being illegally parked during the night.

Not the start I wanted but I was very nervous about making the long trip before a shakedown trip. :NC :NC. Apparently for good reason.

Right now, I'm not sure if I'm angry, sad , disappointed or all of the above but self flagellation seems to be in order at the moment :DOH2: :DOH2:

I'll let you know if I make it out of here on vacation or if I park it in the garage. But there will be pics either way. :pictures: :pictures:
