it’s the Cosmic law of numbers ... if you keep looking , it’s bound to turn up ... ;) the more times you look , the faster it happens ... numbers eh ?

Rib assembly pic ... Little grease pencil marks on the floor @ 72” keep each rib bottom the same width whilst drying , assuring perfect alignment later ... That’s Important ...!!!

Hmmm? That’s True huh ??? Seems there would be a demand for them , especially around this time of year ... possibly another business opportunity ??? 8) They don’t need anything fancy , just a warm box with a door and some windows and a Camo paint job ... pretty easy ... Deer Cozy ... or a Duck cozy ...

Thanks Mike !!! How’s your Foamie coming along ??? We’re all anxious to see your new Foamie trailer!!!! ...

Well, if you make the deer camps, your rib design could easily be modded to make foam hay bales. If they need a place for a cot, two bales together would be easy enough. We have all seen the bale trailer. nothing short of genious IMO.

Ruh Roh !!! Things getting interesting now , Vincent sent me this : “ how about a set of ribs to make up a teardrop with galley in the rear, etc...and we can cast some deco looking rocket fenders,..all skinned in sheet metal for a DIY mini airstream? Now that could be fun to do. “

The game is afoot !!! :o
Already planning a way to hot wire out a round nose section ... see pic .. Hot wiring on 3 axis ... ;)

Camo deer blinds is the perfect opportunity to try the camo deer blind mesh material as an outer skin. Use TB2 or 3, or the clear base paint.

Nice progress. No turning back now.

Those CNC cut ribs look fantastic ! They make one want to check further into
the CAD programs. The cost to have one's design cut out may be worth it -
even if we aren't as lucky as" some" [Ha !} to have friends who are wiling to do it.
I seem to recall a good while ago that there were some posts [a thread ?]
somewhere on here on/about building your own CNC set-up. 'Need to check
into that again too ! Unless you have a good well fixtured workshop it can be
quite frustrating to get the tolerances and finish level you may want with
handyman grade hand tools. [Especially if they are wearing out like mine are !]
['Not knocking any builds accomplished with such - Bravo to all of them for
their good results !]

'Too tired to look back for any mentioned details on this aspect, but I'll throw out
a suggestion for a method of applying the foam planks: Since you're going to
hot-wire cut the foam into thinner slabs/planks you could a hot-wire or just use
a table saw to cut a sawblade thick kerf in the thin edge and use a couple inch
wide spline of some non-wood material, or even cedar, that would be used to
keep the foam slabs in alignment as you glue them up horizontally like logs,
and once you get to the roof curvature, you could bevel their edges to allow you
to match the curvature. Ignore this if you've decided on another method.

Anyway, it will be extremely interesting to watch the build as it progresses.

Foamstream Ho !

Cheers,
Norm/mezmo

Yes, the ribs were always the snag with this project and I was LUCKY (fortunate) to have my Friend cut them out on the CNC machine .... And as it worked out , we figured the cost of the ply + the machine time was equivalent to buying the Conestoga Ribs from a Wagon supply , and then those were too short and didn’t accommodate the stringers or the “hangers” (the holes to hang things from ) as these ribs do ... so this all worked out Great ... There was the machine drawing time /effort , but since that’s saved info now , others may benefit from this without that charge ... 8)

KC, Any Camo pattern they want eh ... 8)

Norm, that is a great idea for joining the foam ... Thanks !!! That Make project is pretty cool huh .... Bigger one would make a great “Hanger" for the Foamstream or most any small trailer ...

Mike , I did see that Haybale trailer ... Pretty Cool eh , but a little small for me ... but Perfect for a hunting trailer ... I’d need a “double wide” bale, just for relaxing or taking a nap if the hunting is slow ....
The gentleman I talked with yesterday (the roofer) told me his FIL owns some acreage and rents land to hunters , and liked the idea of small “ camps “ that the hunters could stay in too ... kind of like a "package deal “ ... We’ll see where this goes ...
Also the roofers got done with my repairs and left me a good deal of leftover R panel , all quite usable ... Seeing the Make project with the “tin’ covering gives me some ideas ... 8) So many ideas ... so few helpers ... I need to hire a crew ... or do like Eagle does and have a “Gathering” ... ;)
