Remember , foams come in different densities ...
not all foams are the same ... Here, HD or L doesn’t carry the thicker extruded foams , for some stupid reason ...

Won’t order it for you , unless you want a whole pallet and still want retail (per sheet) prices for the foam even if you do get the large quantity ... Something Not right about that eh ?

A fact confirmed by my roofers who use pallets of the
same foam , and for ~ 10USD a sheet in quantity.... (what I was told ) Another reason to shop around and Not rely on the Box stores ...
For my FoamStream , we’re using the 2lb./cu.ft. Beadboard , and yes it will absorb a
little water over time if left out in the rain , (the spaces between the beads ) but covering will protect it ... Even with water intrusion , it still won’t Rot , should that happen somehow (?) ... When I got my beadboard blocks , they had been left out in the rain and were damp , but after a few days inside the studio , they’re now as dry as toast ... no problem ... and a little Lighter too ..
I’ve been making foam wings for planes for many years , and never had a problem , even uncovered ... But I have seen houses with that Foam/Stucco thing , and that doesn’t seem to work very good outside ... Once the stucco cracks , water gets in and affects the stucco to foam bond .... Stucco flakes off .... water intrudes further to the woof framing behind , with predictable results ...

Could be just the quality of the construction and application technique that is left wanting ... ? We’ve seen a LOT of contractors take "short cuts" to expedite the job , and save more money for themselves ... Even good materials applied poorly aren’t quite as good as they are specified to be ...
