It is not weather proof for outside. It is for interior use only. If your using it for inside a foamy it should be fine.

From the can:
Minwax Polycrylic Protective Finish is a crystal clear, ultra fast-drying protective topcoat for use over wood, oil-and water-based stains, paint and wallpaper. It has very little odor, is non-flammable, cleans up easily with soap and water and can be recoated in only 2 hours.

Polycrylic can be used on furniture, trim, doors, cabinets and paneling. Its clarity makes it an ideal topcoat over Minwax water-based Wood Stains and wood surface, especially light woods like maple, ash and birch. polycrylic also resists damage from abrasion, scuffing, chipping, water, alcohol and other common household chemicals.

Blue tape is your friend. If you want the wood ribs to be stained and the foam interior to be other, I would mask the outside arch of the ribs and the bottoms, then stain and finish the arches (front, rear and inner arch) on the bench. When you are happy with them, tape up the finished surfaces with that paper roll construction paper you saw at the Big Box until done building. Maybe a little tedious but easy/easier. Even if you plan on slathering the whole lot with poly (which is not a bad idea) you still need to keep the glue/PL/GG/whatever from oozing onto the wood prior to finishing.

What do you think the weight of just the cabin will be?

Just guesstimating , floor , ribs , foam ... < 500lbs Probably less... I can lift all the ribs with one hand ... maybe 50 lbs. Then there’s the (5) 6’ 2x4s, the floor boards , foam, canvas, glue, paint ...
We put a rib up on the trailer ... looks good (and Big) ... And with the help of my friend got the wheel lugs loose .. that and a Big 4 way lug wrench ... Couldn’t budge them by myself ... :o

My dear wife won't even consider a tear still... so maybe the foamstream might work instead. She'd love the purple interior... I'd only let her do it if she wore the genie outfit though...

Ned, I was trying for that one too .... Maybe ??? :R Actually the inside of my Art studio is painted a very Light Purple , (Berry frost) nice because during the day with sunlight it turns a neutral Gray , and at night becomes very warm and inviting ...becoming an excellent backdrop for everything else (Paintings look Great against it , or Genie costumes :D ) ... good color in it’s lighter applications ...

My wife also pronounced my little Foamie as “too Small” ... :o the whole reason for the Foamstream ... The first wooden TD was too small, the RV was too BIG , the foamie was too small, maybe I’ll get it right this time .... ?? :frightened: :NC
I even made her stand under a rib and at 5’8” it was like a big room for her ... so far so good ... (the Genie picture convinced her ) ;)

Berry Frost? Glidden? Behr? Do you remember the brand name?

In painting (art) we’d call that a “color-white” ... I’ve seen it on Museum walls ... where I got the idea ... any accent color you put against it looks Great ... Purple is an oft misunderstood color , it can be either Warm or cool , depending on what you put next to it ... a property not shared by other colors .. very useful in Nature painting , because it’s the complementary color of Sunlight ... the yellower the sunlight, the more Purple the shadows... Just FYI...
