but, it depends on if Slow has his heart set on picking out a ring for her ..... or.....
if hisAngie wants to choose her own.
Also, most jewelry stores have an installment plan so you don't always have to plunk it $$ all down at once. Also, check out some of these choices as I went around to each of them in our area the last two days and found some beautiful sets for much less than a jewelry store.
Please consider an antique shop or second hand/estate sale as some gorgeous vintage pieces can be found there. It is relatively inexpensive to re-size a ring, but about the most a size change be reduced or added is one ring size.
K Mart had $1600 sets (diamond) down to $400 at my locale through Saturday of this week. WalMart has rings for marriage at their counter and our Sears and Kohls have great departments. And folks, these are nice rings; and I've had experience making jewelry as well a wearing it and buying it myself. (Dean and I got engaged recently and I ordered my ring and finalized its plans just yesterday.)
I also have some other bling that could work for you, Slow, but size does matter on these, that's why I asked what size she wore. I have been immersed in my own wedding plans so I've done quite a bit of research and looking for myself recently. Let me know what you think.
