Another very cool and unique build Mr Len. Really like your rear door and dropped floor design, thanks for sharing it

The big problem today was that I was by myself. That makes for a lot of leg work using the break.

Then theirs a lot of "Brain" work. Inside pieces that are the reverse of outside pieces, rights and lefts, upside down/right side up and you can't make up the door in the frame and then install them. You have to make and install the frame then make the door to fit then trying to hang the door by myself. :frightened:

This had to be a custom door though and I really don't think I could have done it with anybody else around...Distractions.

I think it really costs more to build a door than it costs to buy one.

The window was $79.00 + shipping, the Lock was $30 + shipping, the metal was about $30.00 and the lumber about $20.00 the hinge (for both doors) $35.00 and about $20 for Miscellaneous stuff.

Then it took me an entire day to make and install it!

You can buy a manufactured door for about $300 delivered, and it takes you longer to get it out of the box than it does to install!

I only had one major screw up on the metal. But nobody was around to see it or hear me yelling so its all good.

Now....its Miller Time!

Very slick - I like it. Will you be showing it off at Ross Hill this year?

Thanks for sharing.

I'd like to....but everything's for sale. I build them just to support my habit of building them! :? :?

Fantastic as always Len!

Sometime, if you get a chance, can you provide a little more detail on your door construction, please?

Thank you,
Tom

How'd I miss this build...Some great ideas you go going on there

Very cool Len!
I always love seeing something completely different from anything I would have ever imagined.

How high is the clearance from the drop floor? Can a short person stand in it? Can you show more pics of the inside? I am curious how you worked out the storage.

In the dropped area the height is only about 4'6" still not enough to stand up in...but I really wasn't shooting for that.

My intentions were to make a place to sit, inside on the end of the bed and be able to put my shoes on. As a bonus it turned I also had a place inside to store my shoes too....out of the way.

Ya may have to wait a bit for some photos...my camera just bit the dust and I gotta pick up a new one in the next day or so.

I couldn't have picked a more dismal day to pull it outside for the first time. Shown here with its other member of the "Fleet".

Its not 100% done yet but it is "Campable".

And that's where its going this weekend.

Gettin ready for the trailers first road test.

Image

Found 2 "Pre Flight" problems.

The Ball height is a bit to high and the turn signals are reversed. :? No big deal.

It'll be on the road by 8am.

Len, and you made another great looking trailer. I think you owe your friend a beer or something for telling you your original profile did not have enough swoop in it.
