Also thanks Ben, I didnt catch the 19" radius for the rear! I fixed that also

I plan on doing the inner seal setup like some have suggested for the hatch. I started the laminate flooring also.
If you guys think the hatch looks good I am going to cut it out today and put the walls back up.

Alrighty!!! Git the floor cut into place for a grand total of 31.26 lol. I glued all the seams, so should be pretty solid.

Well had sunday off soo got a ton of cleaning and yardwork down and started laying out my galley with tape. I think im happy with it? Lol i plan on using caninet doors on the upper cabinets. The fridge will be mounted on the passenger side just putting it in there for a look. Need to remove the handle and build a low profile setup. This week I am going to pick up some alder wood.

Was thinking about the roof spars any reason i shouldnt use 2x4 cut down to 2x2's for the main roof?

Love following your build! That floor looks too good to cover up with a mattress.

Sometimes they warp when you do that. It might be better to use pre-seasoned 2x2's that you can pick straight.

You probably know this already but many here use hardwood spars where there is extra stress, like the hatch hinge.

Ya on the warping. Building grade 2x4 these days are still sap wet.
If you can find some old hard ones that came out of an old house they would be better.

Another option I seen done here. Some one cut 1” x 4” strips out of bigger Popular boards. Then glued
2 of them together to his spars. They tend to hold each other together and stop most warping. Just watch
out you join them to the side wall. You don’t want to drive them apart with a screw in the glue joint.

This page ( half way down ) show the spars and later how they are installed.

His homepage and build logs. for later reference. + he sells a nice guide for building.

A lot of people use 1x3 pine for the roof spars and popular wood on the hurricane hinge spar but they double the last spar for more strength you'll also want to glue them together I think most would use epoxy glue or the pl2000 I've never been able to find the pl2000 but I have used the pl200 it's a construction adhesive that's very strong it works the same way as gorilla glue but no need to wet the wood and it don't foam. I used the 3x premium strength. 1 thing I found is to use a notch trowel to spread it other wise if you don't its hard to get tight joints. It's thick as all get out.

I was planning on using some oak for the hatch spar. I tried taking 1x4 and ripping them in half and then gluing them together. The wood is soo crooked its not from my cut but just not being perectly straight from the getgo. I need to take a picture of it.

It's always wiser to get boards wider and rip to desired width but you have to start with good straight lumber unless you have a jointer and a planner.

I lucked out and my neighbor gave me a pile of white oak ruff cut boards. I have a planner if you don't mind the drive to Ohio lol. But I was able to cut them to size and plane to desired size.

Well got rained out today soni couldnt get the galley wood. Been talking a to a few people everyone suggested i make a second door. Soo i did. I pee all the time so what the heck lol. Started planning with the framing around the door for the inside to seal and started at 1/4" not enough, specially since most door seals are 3/8th lol soo ill try again tomorrow. Hopefully I will be able to pick up my wood also.
