How does the hot water heater work do you have to turn it on and off from the outside ?

Thank You Crumvoc!
I read almost everything on this site and learned so much from everybody here and I think there is a bit of every bodies trailer in this one. Sometimes I think I post too many pictures but I know from looking at this site that I looked and learned from all the posts that were made, sometimes the smallest pictures or descriptions lead me on to a new idea.

So really I have to thank everybody here for helping me build my dream trailer! Buttt... it's not done yet. :(

The pump is controlled from the inside but everything else is on the outside in the unit, but your question made me think that I should put a shutoff in line below it. There is a flow control on the shower unit but not sure if it shuts off? Good thing you asked !

I wasn't sure if it is left on all the time when your camping or if you turn it on when you want hot water and then off when you don't.
if that is the case it looks like you could flip that around and have a door on the inside of the trailer so it could be turned on and off from the inside ?

The shower is self contained so you will walk up to it (after switching on the pump inside), make sure the propane is on and turn the on switch on and hot water will come out, at least that is the plan. I have not had a chance to test it yet so we'll see.
I am fine with it all working from the outside, it is supposed to work with instant hot water....

pvangel, Howdy;

I noticed that you used WHITE TFE tape on the propane connection
for the Hot Water Heater ... It should/needs to be the YELLOW
TFE tape... !!!!!!
Hate to see anything happen to all the beautiful hard work.

I'm actually pretty happy with the budget, I have done everything I wanted to and have kept with quality items throughout.

By the way your all sworn to secrecy on this here budget....Sister Mary Margaret thinks I spent $500 and did some "trading" to get here...hopefully she never figures out internet or I'm a dead man.

Ok, down to 2 choices on the counter top, 1st one is Zinc that my roofer friend will bend up to cover the top.

Or this Formica, Micro dot black.

Opinions please!

I wanted to finish the back doors with something but don't have any more diamond plate and not enough FRP but figured if I cut the sheet I had in half it would be close.

Image

So there will be a 3 inch space around the outside.

Image

I'll paint the border with the gray paint that I used on the beds.

The foam for the mattress showed up today, It was rolled up in a tiny ball (vacuum packed) and I thought for sure they were cut small but after an hour they opened up to full size. The foam is firm, I was worried that you would sink through them but I think they will be very comfortable.

I gave up on Formica (Seems it's easier to by drugs than a piece of Formica) and Zinc and Copper and Stainless and right or wrong I'm using this,

So.... what a friggen nightmare this counter top has been. I called Rustoleum about putting this product on wood floors when I was looking for a finish for the trailer floor and they said they do NOT recommend it because it did not flex at all so could peel because of that. I have seen multiple posts about guys using it without a problem so figured it would be fine on a counter top that had very little flex.

I got home tonight and gathered my supplies to put it down and I didn't have a small knap roller but had a heavy knap that I figured would work... I was wrong.

Image

I mixed the epoxy as per the directions but only needed a small amount so used a small plastic cup mixing the 1 to 3 ratio and then waited the 45 min for the catylist to react and then dipped my roller into the tray and put the first roll out. Well that roller had been around for awhile and it looked like I dragged a shedding Golden Retriever across the countertop, hair everywhere.
I knew I had a nice brush I had just used but couldn't find it and was scrambling now looking for anything to use and found a sponge brush but by now the dog hair was setting up and when I brushed it I was pulling roller hair everywhere.

Image

So I dumped a good amount out and used the foam brush to squeegee the paint around and was able to cover the fur and put a nice thick coat throughout.

Image

We'll see what it looks like in the morning but as of know it looks fine!

I know it's a little late, but I found the best way to spread the color chips is to just toss them up in the air......and let the chips fall :FNP Sorry...it just came to me as I was typing that. :)
