For a Seal I used 3M self adhesive tape. It come in several thickness and width. It is best to plan your door
with a certain seal in mind. This allows you assemble the door, and plan for the right gape where the seal
should go. You can even use part of the seal as a gauge. In my Reworking little wood camper thread ( link
below ) you can see me making a new door. The first page, last post and 3 pictures up. In that picture you
can see me taping in a spacer to get a ā
ā gape around the door, but you can see two small pieces of that 3m
tape holding the door out the proper amount for the seal Iām suing. On the second page of the thread there
is a CAD drawing showing the barrel nuts installation. In that drawing you see the seal again. I again use a
small part of the seal when installing the hinge. If I did not know the thickness, the door would've been install
too far from the seal or too close to the door frame. the seal would not been that effective.
