Thanks again for the donation !

How big is your CT? It looks very roomy inside will you be bringing this to the camping trip coming up where we are going to be neighbors at? I saw that IKEA has a fold down table for $30.00 I am going to check that out and see if it will work in my CT for a easy to use table inside my CT.

My "CT" is a "TH" ( Tiny House) 8x20 inside with a 4' observation platform (porch) This will be a full time live in home for myself and my doggies Thor and Sadie. I dare say I really don't think I would feel comfortable towing it around. I have a good friend with a dually diesel that will probably move it for me when the time comes.

This is a better picture you are standing in the front living room 8x8 looking thru the 6x8 kitchen and beyond the wall is the 6x8 bath area

You've had your share of kicks in the teeth Bob so it's great to see some good karma coming your way. I haven't posted a lot, but I've been enjoying following your build.

Good news to hear about the workshop - at such a reasonable
rent too. Maybe this is a better solution than the right-of-way
land you're trying for.

Especially good is the enclosed space a shop provides ! I'm
beginning to think that the setup you are about to have would
be an ideal retirement set up all-in-all. A smaller comfortable
living unit, accompanied by a workshop that'll allow you to
continue to use your creative bent is a perfect solution.

I think simplifying and down-sizing are good ideas in-so-far as they
improve one's lifestyle, but doing either/both just to do them is
pointless unless they help one to improve their life and living
circumstances. Not having to get rid of a lifetime's collection
of tools, which allow you to live more economically and solve
any need you may have for yourself, is a far better thing than
the trifling sum you'd get selling them in an attempt to downsize
or if in the case of being forced by circumstances to liquidate them.

Just pace yourself on the move...

Cheers,
Norm/mezmo

Hooray Bob!

My long term plans include a set up similar to what you're getting... pole barn with power to it, and an RV pad nearby, living 'most time' in the RV on the pad, traveling when my dear wife and I feel like it.

Good luck with the new digs Bob - hope it works out.

Years ago when I was thinking of building a home in the country I looked for land or an old farmstead that had a barn no matter how rudimentary.

My plan was to sell my existing house to have the money to buy land and build another. Then move all my stuff into the barn and provide a basic living area and workshop in it while I built the house.

Didn't work out quite that way. Ended up buying an older (1895) home in a small town sitting on a couple of large adjoining lots - unfortunately no barn and I ended trying to remodel the house while living in it. 30 years later, just this past summer, I finally got around to building a large workshop in place of the barn I hoped for way back then. Since I've got all my trailers, tools, and truck inside the shop am seriously thinking about moving in and renting out the house since I live alone.

I guess he moral is to try to do the best with what you have.

It looks like the best of all possible worlds re your current situation.

Thanks to all of you for your good wishes.

I gave up on the claw foot tub for inside the trailer and have been looking for something that would fit easily but light weight. Well the Craigslist folks were good to me last night. I drove about 45 miles each way but scored an undersized RV tub. 4'6" long by 16" deep by 31" wide. A bit small to use as a soaker tub for a fat man but I can still get my butt wet in it. I am gonna test fit it tonight and hope to get a couple of pictures.

That's test fit it to the trailer not ME!

I'm glad you survived, Bob!!!! Sorry I couldn't help you. I didn't get home from Mount Vernon until about 7 pm, and I was beat from all of the driving I did yesterday.

Might be handy to install one of the "handi-cap" grip rails above the tub in case you get "wedged" in there. ;)

Well here I am in a crunch for time to finish the caboose and here comes the boss with a real nice semi shag (or maybe they call it plush ) carpet about 14 x 9. It was in his basement and the recent record rains left it a bit damp from ground water seapage. I have it drying in the sun over our stacked lumber bunks and I think it will be installed as temporary flooring right after the drywall is installed until I find time to install the mini parquet floor.

As usual it was my favorite price FREE ! :D
