i painted primer on the bottom of the cabinet that is above our heads when we sleep, next step is to paint it white blue, then stain the wood walls and install the reading lights.

When I started this project, I tried to do it in several months and made several mistakes. So now I have slowed way down to correct them and make a better trailer.

Installed new door weatherstrip, winterized and stored away in garage. :). Waiting until spring.

...also on my trailer. haha Actually, I was concerned about the chain attachment point on my tongue, a single link welded under the tongue. Perhaps it was sufficient when the trailer was under 500 lbs, but I worried about it tearing loose with the now 1538 lbs (down from 1775 lbs) trailer. My coupler is very well welded to the tongue (3 x 3 x .1875 square tube), so I figured that I could use the two holes in the coupler's sides (for bolt-on purposes) for attaching the chains. I now have them attached via two 1/2" Grade 8 bolts/nuts/lock washers/flat washers, and tied to the tongue further back with u-bolts. Now I'm pretty sure that the three-point attachment of each safety chain will be quite sufficient. No pics yet.

So if I'm only "remodelin" the interior, izzat still considered a "build" ? Cause I'm now workin on the galley since I got the "cabin" insulated with 3/4 inch foam insulation, and skinned with Red Oak panelin. She's a 1946 that was never planned to be "finished" on the interior, but I had other plans since I plan to use it year round.

Sure, http://s26.photobucket.com/user/len1907 ... t=2&page=1

This RT design was one of the most comfortable trailers I've ever built. With the dropped floor at the rear you could sit on the end of the bed and put your shoes (that could be stored inside) on and at night it was very easy to use the "Coffee Can" from that same position.

Pullled my 450 lb woody teardrop out of the workshop and into the enclosed storage area, ready for sanding and varnish. Gotta get this show on the road, now that the 10 inches of snow has melted in my So Calif town.
