I don't know how you can stop yourself from tearing that plastic off, I would have pulled it off months ago.

Those tail lights look real sharp as well, nice choice.

My teardrop rides a little high but it hasn't caused any issues so far. Is there anything to be aware of with that? Is it about weight distribution or is it just aesthetic? It sleeps me better at night when I don't unhook which is my norm so I am cool with it a little higher at the pillow. Just wondering.

The general consensus I've read is that towing nose up is a little more prone to sway. Level or very slightly nose down is supposed to be "best."

Dont recall ever reading a reason "why" - perhaps someone like Andrew may have an answer..?

When I found out the lights worked I just ran out hooked up the trailer. I do have another draw bar with a longer drop but it didn't have a 2" ball on it. So...I just used what I had.

The SB is a low-rider. There is only about 12" clearance to bottom of the frame. (I used a 10-degree up start angle on my torsion axle.). Hopefully this won't be too low.

Hey Tom,

I can tell you that you aren't going to have any issues at all with the ride height! Mine is 12" at the axle too and I have done some "interesting" maneuvers into some really steep driveways and rolling over parking lot stops. My ride height is actually 10' at the back when attached to the truck!

The last couple of weekends, I've been working on the hatch and galley. I installed foil bubble insulation on the hatch and tidied up the wiring for the tailights and license plate light.



Next, a plywood counter was cut and and installed.



For the underside of the hatch, I'm using that pebble-finish FRP. I cut and installed the first sheet and installed the hatch light.



And.....drum roll please....I installed the gas struts for the hatch. It worked great! And there are only two extra holes. These should be hidden (almost).



I still need to install the last section of the FRP. That will have to wait for next weekend.

I am going to do my notch for the wiring the same as yours since my wires don't detach so a hole is out, so it's good to see it done. You aren't just going to be campable by March, you're gonna be done I think!
