Shown below is a trial fitting of the wheel well/fenders. The assembly of the fenders are using temporary screws. The plywood parts will be permanently assembled with epoxy & 1-1/2" #8 screws.

Looking good, Terry.

I like how you've done the wheel wells, lot of work there. I used a combination of spray undercoating and roofing tar on mine, quick and easy.

We are back from the cruise. I now have some weight to loose.

Mondy, I ordered another batch of Epoxy from Raka. This epoxy will be used mostly as a glue for the sidewall plywood & wood sidewall frame.
Today, I will be purchasing 3 sheets of 1/2" particle board. These will be placed on the trailer to make up a large work table.
I will, also, purchase 4 sheets of 3/16" "hardboard". These will be used to make paterns for the trailer side walls.
At Lowes', they have 1/4" Aracuo hardwood ACX plywood, with 3 ply, and exterior glue. ($22.97 ea) It looks pretty good, and is paintable without showing the wood grain. It looks like I will buy 24 sheets. (I will have a lot of waste)
I will, also, buy 1" x ?" pine for framing. I will rip down to 1" (actual) width.

Yesterday, I picked up the Hardboard, the particle board, & the 1/4" Aracuo ACX plywood. The plywood was a full 1/4".
This morning I drug out the table saw.
I will pick up lots of 1 x ? lumber this morning. I will buy mostly clear dryed lumber. This will, of course, be used for making the wood frame for the trailer.
The first thing that I will do is rip the 1 (3/4" actual) x to 1" wide.

I have layed the 1/2" particle board on top of the trailer frame to make a large layout table as shown below. I have placed the 3/16 hardboard on the layout table. the hardboard will be used to make a patern for the trailer sides.



I purchased 2 sheets of 1/4" (more like 3/16") mahogany "bendy" plywood. It will very easily bend to a 10" radius. See below. I will be using a 15" radius.

I have designed the roof line to have a 4" drop from center of trailer (the horizontal measurement is 61") to the start of a 14-3/4" radius curve at the front and back of the trailer roof. I used a CAD program (Design CAD) to calculate the curvature using three points (4" drop from start of radius at front , center, 4" drop from start of radius at rear). I calculated serveral heights of the curve from a 4" x 61" triangle. I then laid out my calculations on 3/16" hardboard. Since the front roof line is the same curve as the back roof line, I have made one template 61" in length. I will, of course, reverse the template to make the back curvature. Shown below is the template that I am in the process of sanding the edges to the curve. I have also made a 14-3/4" radius quarter circle template. I will mate this with my roof line to have a complete template for the sidewall, including front and back 14-3/4" radius curves, at the roof line

Shown below is template of sidewall roof line. The length is 1/2 the length of the trailer. The curve template was not as complecated as I thought it would be. I used a router to cut the 14-3/4" 1/4 circle.

I am planning on Prefabricating the outside walls, (1/4" inside & outside plywood walls + 3/4" framing) glued with epoxy.
I plan on using 1-1/2" x 1-1/2" x 1/8" angle steel, 1/4" bolts, nuts, & washers, and 1/4" screws to attach the walls to the floor & frame.
Where their is steel frame below, I will use screws through the angle steel.
Where there is 1/2" plywood, I will use bolts, nuts, & washers through the angle steel.
I will use screws to attach the walls to side of frame.
I will use bolts, nuts, & washers to attach walls to angle steel.

Considering my trailer will be near 7 feet high from the ground, and over 12 feet long, does anyone have any concerns with my plan for attaching the walls?

That's about what I did on mine only I used 1/8" ply for the interior skin and kreg pocket screws instead of the angle plate. I used long pocket screws to make sure I got a good bite into the floor framing. I used a screw about every foot or so and my walls are very solid. I glued the wall to the floor and I think most of the strength is from the glue with the screws acting as backup to the glue.
