The cabinets are looking fantastic! Great find on the vent fan.

You're braver than I working inside the house. I ran out of storage space in the garage, so I thought I'd use a spare bedroom for cabinet storage until I could get them finished. You should have seen the look I got when I brought the first cabinet into the house.

Anyway...try to stay warm and keep up the good work.

I still see little aluminum bits layin' here and there from time to time.

Well the weathergods have been with me on this one.
Got a bit done today and yesterday.
Got the rear overhang dressed with some leftover roof and aluminum trim and it was above freezing so I got it caulked also



The floor extends past the back wall and has caused me some grief with snow sitting on it and melting....hence a bit of soak through. So dressed it also with some left over TPO roof and some more trim, all caulked so that issue should be dealt with



Can't afford another sheet of diamond plate right now ( no paying worky sucks ) for the front compartment, so....You guessed it, some more left over Roof some aluminum panel cap for the edge and viola...

The weather seal on the seam is Slide out seals for a power slide on a trailer and the aluminum is awning rail

And my groovy switch panel and Battery level box above the door
Don't think thats gonn stay though, thinking a panel the width of the door with the switchs, battery level meter, Barometer and Humidity gauge and a thermometer, " MAYBE " a clock

Maybe you can just some trim (wood, metal ) and build a flip open box that looks like trim if you didn't know that that was where you hid all your switches. Then you could do them on your way in or out of the place, check status, etc... use an old cabinet spring load latch to keep it shut. Or a magnetic latch.

Trailer doesn't have brakes so that was on the list.
Don't know who built it but they made the axels and used bolt on hubs, probably from a car or pickup. SO...No brake flange.
SO pulled the axels today and going down to Cerka Trailers in Milton ON sometime this week and ordering a set of Dexter Axels, 1/w brake, 1 idler. Still undecided between 2200s or 3500's. Might as well put new springs on while I'm at it, It is going to be crossing the country Loaded after all.
Good thing I pulled things though, had a bad bearing on one anyhow
The old axels have a 3 inch drop, but I think i'm going with straight axels, Will probably be doing some rough country camping once I make the move to Alberta and that should also give me room for a holding tank below floor, I have a 32 gallon tank on hand so that should work for both Grey and Black.
Got it Jacked up to close to what should be ride hight and the 45 ' break on the nose of the trailer is about level with the top on my cap on the truck, so its all good

Whoever built this thing didn't plan on it falling apart, all the nuts where welded to the threads

The trailer has landed

Back on her feet again
New Dexter 3500lb Axels with ezee lube hubs, Idler on the rear axel, 10" brakes on front and new springs.





Tires look really funny now, hopeing I have room for 15"'s but thats gonna have to waite for a while.

Ordered on Tuesday, They had to be built to my frame specs
Picked them up today at 1;30 today, 2.5 hour drive home, Installed and wheels back on it by 6;30 and sitting at the dinner table, mmmmm Pasta!
Have to wire the brakes tomorrow.
Sized it up for a below floor and insulation install of the black holding tank, should be no trouble at all. And thinking of a full width pass through storage box ahead of the wheels. Its high but it opens up some new possibilities and still be able to make it off roadable
Feel better now with some stopping power for the long haul loaded out west in the fall

Been lazy since the axel swap. oh well.
Got back out there today for a bit, put the bottom in the front cross cabinet,
Moved the battery to the toungue box, One more to go, will run dual 24groups.
Should work out good up front, have room for 2 batteries and two 20lb propane tanks and the power cord, jack and a few more bits and pieces in the toungue box
Ran the cables in to the power strip, Hooked up the inverter, its only an 800watt, to run my CPAP machine
And sourced 4' x 10' . 040 Red aluminum sheet.

So with the red aluminum, i'm thinking might end up more like this
Red on top and charcoal grey on the bottom, to match my truck



Been pricing aluminum, and a utility builder wanted $300 for 4 x 10 off a roll. Found a Late Model race car manufacturer, $86 for 4 x 10 .o40 and I just happen to be heading down there tomorrow, so no extra driving expense.
Have to go to London for two days to set up our trailers for the RV Show this weekend,

Well picked up the Aluminum yesterday at 4;30 after setting up the London RV Show display, 1 1/2 days of polishing new trailers, what a joy.
3 hour drive home...glad thats over

So it wasn't a bad day today got up to 36 degrees, whoo hoo, outside work
Had to move the trailer so I could get to both sides, was up against the fence. Settles a little into some depressions, pulled it out by hand, spun it and shoved her sideways in the drive, must have been all that Wax on, Wax off that got me in fine Karate Kid physical condition

them 4 x 10's were fun, little windy and by myself, but I persevered,
rigged up some bottom supports and had some 2x2' and 2 1/2 screws for quick preasure supports to the sides to keep the wind from blowin me and the aluminum away

Color is pretty close to the truck, which makes me happy



Front corner trimmed, think i'm going to change out the white rv trim for1 x 1 aluminum angle when I get back to work



Have to get some corners for the back yet



Love the red to checkerplate contrast



And got the window cut, installed and caulked



Need to find a small window for the roadside also

Picked up some jeep style hood catches, have to mod them a bit to hold down the hatch on the front storage compartment , never made it that far today
