so that is canvas over foam. using contact cement or bondo/fiberglass? (I would think contact cement would dissolve the foam) did the bondo soak through the canvas to stick, then harden? (damn that would be light! and strong. probably even easy to repair...)

the door looks like a refrigerator, but I'd bet you are perfect temp inside, summer or winter, being that well insulated.

I like the 4 section hung window. (where and how much?)

Mask off the vent screen inside and spray paint the screen for a better look, inside. ("vent of computer fan, screen inside.")

We've joked about being too light and the agreed upon ballast is 500 lbs of beer. It has become the standard unit of measurement for ballast for us foamlings

I don't have a foamie but I am 360 x 360 insulated now. I can't believe how warm that is inside now. I used a 500w halogen light to work inside and with freezing temps outside, I'm over 70F inside. (that's without my body heat added, no outer garage.)

Yes , insulation is a wonderful thing !!!! I over-insulated my house when I built it , well sealing all the doors and windows with spray foam too ...... even a small milk house heater keeps the chill off the entire building ...

Well a full keg of beer is about 160#, so at least 4 kegs is required. 124 - 16 oz servings per keg, that means you have almost 500 pints of beer (496 to be exact). YUM

@ATahoeKid, might as well go ahead and put the spigot on the outside and the keg in a foam tongue box. On second thought, better put another spigot inside, just in case you don't want to get up while you're watching "the game." :-) Then, insulate the hoses with that stuff they use on air conditioning pipes in the house. Small 12v tire filler compressor with a limiting switch and you're all set.

Course that's a lot of beer. Wouldn't want it to go to waste. Everybody bring big steins. ;-)

I homebrew my beer, so my kegs are limited to a 5 gallon 'corny" keg. I'm running the tap lines thru a jockey box. No worries about having to keep the keg cold (cool is helpful, though), the beer is chilled as it runs thru the box and it will be pressured and delivered with CO2, since air oxides the beer. The tap head will be accessible through the galley. Leaving the spigot on the outside might tempt the wrong folks, while I'm away or not looking. I don't mind sharing the beer, but I want to make sure I have enough for me to enjoy and it doesn't get into the wrong (unsupervised minors') hands.

I'm still working at it, I've been on a forced hiatus for a while due to a bad shoulder that's not getting any better but I got back to working on it a bit last week. I've not been as worried about weight as others on this thread bcuz I've got a full size pickup as tow vehicle, though I have tried to keep weight down. I've used 1/2" ply instead of 3/4" to keep weight down for the cabinets and floors. But just as a general idea, I've got most of the pieces together and I can still pull this around by hand with a trailer dolly with ease. My main concern has been wood rot and thriftiness and ease of work and joining. Some of foams' great traits.

I don"t actually mind sharing too much I try to keep to the philosophy of "It's not quantity, it's quality" Though I sometimes forget

Mel , sure would like to sample some of your home brew ... Have had some really Delicious home made Beer , and wines in the past... Homemade seems to have more of the good stuff , requiring less intake for proper effect ...
