Well, I'll tell you and be quite honest about it. I REALLY value my quiet at night, and I am way hard of hearing too. Plus the winter angle. So, while I really dig the lay out of the army goose floor plan, I also really would want to stick very closely by the winter warrior seal idea and cozy-ness. So I myself would prefer the tip up solid sides, verses the canvas...
On the front bed, too, yup love the couch into a queen, just move the back piece into the leg space and you have a queen sized bed. I did notice one of those pictures had a bunk arrangement in the front that could be hinge the back of the couch UP to make the upper bunk... But that would be for a family situation, with kids everywhere. I like the 7 foot wide idea. mostly because mine was built on a 4'x8' piece and with the "medicine cabinet" type "cabinet/storage in the stud walls" of mine, I am down to just over 3 feet in interior width. Tight for one. I need a skinny mate that is not afraid of small spaces...
My height is not bad, puptent on wheels. What is in between a standie and a crawlie? I'd like to be vertical to pull up my britches, even if I am half bent over at the middle to do it.
One last thing, too. As a person with a door only at the back end, I'd rather wish for a side door, exactly like the standard tear, also. I don't know how close to the top roof the stove etc... will be, when closed, but if you leave the top closed on an army goose for the winter, with a side door like the teardrop, that might be a good winter style, and then open the back's top and let the air through the fabric, for the summer.
(since you still in design phase, I wanted to throw all the pertinent variables at you while the getting was good... With that much width I'd even consider two standard tear doors AND the winter warrior tip up rear... all in 2 inch foam walls, to be ultra light.
